Enterprise Software Developer

Location: Kent, Washington

As an Enterprise Software Developer, you will help specify, evaluate and integrate enterprise systems for business, engineering and manufacturing data and process management used in the design, development and operation of space vehicles. Where required, you will modify and extend commercial applications to suit in-house needs. You will create custom applications as necessary and integrate those into the enterprise. You will help manage daily operations of deployed applications and systems and perform maintenance as required.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with users to design and build applications to support specialized needs
• Evaluate, integrate and extend commercial products using industry standard integration approaches, e.g. web services, message queues, plug-ins, portlets, gadgets
• Design user interfaces, dashboards and other GUI components
• Design domain models and relationships
• Develop all application tiers, back-end server through web front-end
• Own the application infrastructure from design though deployment

Qualifications:

Required

• BSCS/EE or other engineering degree
• Strong interest in space vehicle design and operations
• 4+ years' experience developing enterprise software, end to end, all tiers.
• Java, expert-level
• Proficient with SQL, XML, XSL, HTML, CSS, Javascript, JMS, Python, Linux
• Ability to rapid prototype
• Experience developing external services using REST or web services like SOAP
• Experience deploying, managing and optimizing RDBMS, e.g. MySQL, MS SQL
• Experience specifying hardware to support enterprise applications
• Experience with Agile development projects
• Experience with MVC Java Frameworks e.g. Spring, Struts
• Excellent teamwork skills with an ability to get the work done with minimal supervision
• U.S. citizen, permanent resident alien or otherwise able to review all export-controlled technical information
