DESCRIPTION:  As part of a unique and highly skilled team, you’ll perform multiple NDT methods, interpret and document NDT results, and maintain production NDT equipment that supports rocket engine and launch vehicle programs.
  • Establish and execute NDT techniques to properly examine hardware, ensuring adherence to all safety and specification requirements
  • Perform inspections as well as review supplier inspection results involving Conventional Film Radiography, Digital Radiographic Test (DRT), Computed Radiography (CR), and Penetrant Test (PT)
  • Interpret inspection results and apply acceptance criteria identified on drawing or shop work order
  • Perform all necessary daily, weekly, and monthly process control checks
  • Document and organize inspection results
  • Interface and communicate with engineers to describe inspection results
  • May provide guidance to other inspectors
  • NAS 410 Level II certification in RT and PT with direct experience in inspecting and interpreting Nickel Super-alloy and aluminum cast products
  • Applicants must be a United States citizen or permanent resident alien
  • NAS 410 Level II or substantive experience in Ultrasonic Test (UT) thickness gaging, phased array and shear wave (UT)
  • Experience in eddy current (ET)
  • Experience in low-rate high-mix production environment, preferably in aerospace
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including 3D printing, forging, casting, welding and composites  fabrication
  • Experience in a small company and/or startup environment
