DESCRIPTION:  As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be Blue Origin’s single point of contact with the satellite operator customer from contract signature through launch. The Customer Integration Director has primary responsibility for coordinating all elements and deliverables within the launch services contract and statement of work. All customer communications and technical interface fall under her/his responsibility and follow a well-defined mission integration process.

The Customer Integration Director reports to and is accountable to the Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Experience. From the execution of the launch services contract, the Customer Integration Director will coordinate with the New Glenn functional elements such as Systems Architecture, Payload Accommodations, Systems Engineering & Integration, and Mission Operations, as well as with internal business units such as Finance and Business Operations, Public Relations, and Legal Teams to leverage internal resources at Blue Origin in support of the customer experience. The establishment of privileged relationships with satellite operator customers and spacecraft manufacturers will be a fundamental requirement of this position. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

  • Serve as Blue Origin single point of contact with customer after launch services contract signature
  • Coordinate the internal resources at Blue Origin, including technical, operational, legal, financial and public relations to ensure the contractual obligations are respected and fulfilled
  • Propose solutions to Blue Origin management regarding obstacles that arise during contract performance after consultation with various experts
  • Coordinate the preparation and signature of contract amendments and notifications (Launch Periods/Slots/Days)
  • Develop and maintain mission schedule for customers in coordination with internal entities
  • Maintain and update the Interface Control Document while ensuring compliance with the mission specifications and generating waivers for non-compliances
  • Coordinate and organize all customer Interface meetings and reviews, including the preparation of the Meeting Minutes
  • Serve as primary Blue Origin representative in customer-led interface meetings and reviews
  • Coordinate closely and exchange information with the regional SMCX Commercial Sales Directors regarding new business opportunities
  • Execute budgetary responsibility for satellite mission integration activities in coordination with internal entities
  • Coordinate and assist in preparation of all U.S. Government licensing applications and range approvals with Legal and Mission Operations Teams, as necessary
  • Manage Launch Service Contract invoicing with internal entities and customer
  • Coordinate co-passenger management for New Glenn dual launch and shared manifest missions
  • Facilitate and coordinate customer and general visitor access to Blue Origin facilities in connection with the mission
  • Manage customer relations during launch campaigns and VIP visits to the Orbital Launch Site


  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering
  • Strong technical background with 5 to 10 year experience in the aerospace industry with a strong preference for Launch Vehicle/Satellite interface experience
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
  • Strong project coordination, contract management and customer interface skills and ability to track, manage, and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks and jobs
  • Strong understanding and management of legal contracts with the ability to interpret and defend the contents
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an international environment, adapt to multi-cultural situations, and manage challenging customer interfaces
  • Proven track record for successful negotiations
  • Capable of understanding and providing a complete Customer Experience throughout the execution of the launch services contract
  • Familiarity with ITAR regulations and U.S. export control requirements
  • Able to represent Blue Origin at conferences, customer meetings, and in other fora
  • Extraordinarily high judgment, motivation, energy, creativity, standards for yourself and others
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with the customer and within the Blue Origin organization
  • Frequent travel within the U.S. and abroad including extended stays at launch site (e.g. Florida) for launch campaigns
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder)

  • Experience in an international customer oriented position
  • Second language
  • Prior mission management experience with launch service provider, spacecraft manufacturer, or satellite operator
  • U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance
