Systems Engineering & Integration Engineer


DESCRIPTION:  As part of a small team, you’ll work on launch vehicles, space craft and launch facility systems. You’ll develop, allocate and manage requirements, interfaces and verification, using tools like DOORS and other functional analysis toolsets.  Your activities may include effort in risk management, experiment payload integration, FAA interface, proposals, test planning, mass properties, technical performance measurement management and configuration and data management.

  • Carry out systems engineering activities in accordance with system engineering standards and practices, tailoring required processes to complete tasks assigned 
    • Requirements analysis and traceability, 
    • Functional analysis, 
    • Systems analysis, 
    • Technical performance monitoring,
    • Development and maintenance of system analysis documentation and databooks,
    • Participation in gated reviews,
    • Understand and document system behaviors with architecture,
    • Support Element Lead
  • Develop and mature Concept of Operations documents
  • Develop strategies, approaches for specialty engineering (operability, reliability, maintainability, supportability) integration, analysis and verification 
  • Development and control of launch operations documentation and procedures

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or other technical field
  • 10+ years system development/integration experience – preferably with aerospace hardware
  • Knowledge of current systems engineering and integration tools and methodologies
  • Good communication skills, ability to work effectively in teams, good execution and coordination skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien

  • Experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS
  • Experience in reliability, maintainability and supportability analysis and execution
  • Launch operations experience
