NC Machinist
Location: Kent, Washington
As part of a small team, you will be responsible for machining and fabricating flight vehicle components.
Responsibilities:
- Machining and fabricating high tolerance components for space launch vehicles.
- Working with engineers to provide Design for Manufacturing assessment and estimate manufacturing costs.
- Perform NC programming and machine maintenance.
- Ordering raw materials, ancillary tooling, fixtures, cutters.
Qualifications:
Required
- Demonstrated experience in conventional machining, NC programming with MasterCam (up to 4 axis), Fanuc controllers, Haas controllers, vertical machine centers (up to 4 axis), and NC lathes.
- Experience working with Inconel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, foam and plastics.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- At least 10 years of experience in the machining and fabrication of aerospace components.
- U.S. citizen, permanent resident alien or otherwise able to review all export-controlled technical information.
Desired
- Certified welding of steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication.
- Experience in aerospace development and testing and some design experience is desired.
