Systems Engineer
Location: Kent, Washington
As part of a small team, you will be responsible for the definition and development of space launch vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Definition, development and control of the configuration baseline, as defined by requirements, analyses, design drawings/schematics and plans.
- Performing systems analyses as required to support vehicle development.
- Performing Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA)
- Supporting configuration development and trade studies.
- Supporting the licensing and regulatory process.
- Assisting with cost and schedule estimation.
- Development and control of specifications, ICDs, and verification plans.
- Identification of cost savings approaches to the overall program.
- Management of subcontractors as needed
Qualifications:
Required
- Demonstrated experience with one or more of the following specialties is required: computer aided design, flight mechanics, FMECA, EMI/EMC, hazard analysis, operations analysis, launch vehicle licensing, and space vehicle subsystems (propulsion, mechanisms, avionics, thermal/fluid systems).
- Experience with project scheduling and database tools.
- BS degree in engineering and at least 5 years of experience with space launch vehicles, missiles, aircraft, or spacecraft.
- U.S. citizen, permanent resident alien or otherwise able to review all export-controlled technical information.
Desired
- Working knowledge of requirements tracking tools (DOORS preferred).
- Working knowledge of 3-D CAD tools (ProEngineer preferred).
- Familiarity with knowledge capture systems, integrated engineering tools and rapid development processes.
- Knowledge of systems engineering practices, fabrication and integration processes and quality control.
